We all love to go see a movie but, the prices can be really expensive especially if your taking a family of 4 in my case. A average ticket for an adult alone is usually 15 dollers and a child 10.50, So for my family we would spend 51 dollers just to enter the movies, not including food and drinks. Not happening. I’m gonna share some of my tips and tricks for saving money at the movies.
Leave The Kids At Home
If the kids are gone or your have a sitter go without them it will cut your cost by half. Don’t feel bad you always take the kids somewhere.
Eat Before You Go
You won’t be inclined to purchase food if you stomach is already satisfied.
Late Run Theater
Usually if you have a small budget theater in your area after a few weeks the price is way cheaper than the Big Box office Theaters.
Matinee (Go before 3pm and you can save about 6 bucks)
Cashback Credit Cards
Purchase items on your card and you get points to get free movie tickets.
Club Memberships
If you have a membership at Samsclub, Bjs, Costco, etc they give tickets at a discount price I usually pay thirty dollers for two tickets but, at Sam’s I pay eighteen dollers for two tickets I save about 12 bucks big difference.
Skip 3-D
Dont Buy Boxed Candy
I don’t recommend sneaking in candy if you feel comfortable but, for the rest you can go to the doller store and get boxed candy for a buck instead of paying five dollers a box that’s ridiculous I don’t mind buying the other foods but I’m not paying that much for candy.
Summer Movie Program
During the summer for the kids they usually host doller movies on Tuesday and Wednesday’s each week. Yes they are reruns but for a buck you can’t beat it and you get the kids out the house for cheap.
Those are just some of my tips and tricks for saving a doller at the movies. If you have some tips leave them below and I will feature them in a remix post down the line.
